The SA Federation for Mental Health would like to thank all South Africans who participated in Casual Day in order to make a difference in the lives of persons with mental disabilities.

What is Casual Day?
Casual Day is a FUNdraising project benefiting persons with disabilities. Each year we call upon everybody to dress differently on the first Friday of September and to wear the Casual Day sticker to show their support for disabled people.

In an ever-demanding society the challenge to raise funds for the services rendered by a welfare organization becomes bigger day after day. Over the past 13 years this project has proved to be an easy, successful and risk free way for a welfare organization to raise funds. It provides the opportunity for national as well as local welfare organizations in the disability sector to participate via the structures of the project and to raise much needed funds for services rendered. The South African Federation for Mental Health is one of the beneficiaries of Casual Day, hence our participation in this project annually.

Casual Day is always on the first Friday of September. The 2008 project will take place on Friday, 5 September 2008.

E-A-S-Y & F-U-N !
We hereby invite you to join South Africa’s favourite fundraising event… and have a lot of fun.
When you get dressed for work on Friday 5 September, try something different. Don't wear what you usually wear… dress up or down; wear your evening suit or pyjamas or your swimsuit and tiara. Wear anything you please, but remember to wear the official Casual Day sticker to show you dare to care for persons with disabilities.

WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE?

  • Casual Day is South Africa's favourite fundraising project for persons with disabilities.
  • It's great to support a project where you know your contribution reaches the people it's intended to assist.
  • It's fun, easy and worthwhile supporting.

Rise and Shine, You can dress as you may, Just remember your sticker . . . it’s Casual Day.
